"Beautiful" backside of America Part II: American Graphic Arts (as viewed from the rails)

What is the primary canvas for America's many aspiring graffiti artists?  Apparently freight cars, warehouses or anything else on or near the train tracks!  Seems like they know the rail passengers might get bored and they're on a mission to add some color to our passage.  Such "underground" talent!  I believe the Atlanta area takes the prize so far for the best quality graffiti.  These pics don't really do justice to these great works of art, but here's a sample of what we've viewed along the way.

Broad backs of warehouses are a prime target

We've passed hundreds of boxcars, many with their own decorative scheme

The question is: When do they do this?!
