We made it to New Orleans after our first day of train travel. On the 12th floor of our hotel taking in some of the sights and smells of the city. Wish we had more time to spend here. I think we all enjoyed the train travel. Definitely a very different experience than traveling by plane. More on that some other time. The landscape was all flat between Houston and New Orleans. Mostly fields and marshes with the occasional refinery. Here are some photos from the days travels.
