Happy Birthday, Ali!!! She turned 11 on March 13.

While we were in PA in January, Angelica decided to make public her decision to follow Christ and joined the Faith Exploration class at Metzlers along with 17 others. Although we returned to Honduras before the classes were finished, Harlan and Angelica continued to study the lessons every week. In February we were invited by our church to return in March so that Angelica could be baptized along with the rest of the class on Sunday, March 21st. We thank God for Angelica and each one that has decided to become disciples of Christ and pray that God's Spirit will flow in and through each one.

We were glad to be able to celebrate Angelica's baptism and Ali's birthday with family and friends!

Jesus,

While you were here on earth as a man, you were lonely, heartbroken, rejected by many: spiritual leaders, your hometown, even some closest to you. Yet, you chose to continue on, to keep walking the path you had been given. Why?

You knew you were loved by your Father, our Father, The Father. You were connected to him. No, not just connected, you were IN him. You never doubted his love even when all others rejected or abandoned you. And, you ultimately gave your life because you love me. The love of the Father flowed through you to include me, even though I had also rejected you.

So I, then, will keep going even when I feel rejected by others. I, then, will be secure in the Father's love for me. I, then, will allow the Father's love to flow through me to include all others even, or especially, those who have rejected me.

Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Holy Spirit. Thank you, Father.

I love you.

Because of the remodeling going on with the kitchen and "comedor", right now all the children have been eating their meals outside in the area between our house and the old "baby" house, including our front porch. It actually seems to go better than it did sometimes in the dining room.

A small team of five people from our home church, Metzler Mennonite Church, is coming on Wednesday to help with the remodeling project and other things for a week. Pray that they arrive safely.

We thank God for his blessings and grace as we adjust back to life here at the Finca, especially with new responsibilities such as teaching!

Back in Honduras

Well, we're back in Honduras at La Finca. We had an easy flight back and no problems with luggage, security checkpoints or delays. Praise God!

Sorry I didn't write while we were in PA, but dial up internet is not conducive to posting blogs. :)

We had a great time resting and spending time with friends and family for the last month. We feel very blessed with all the support that many of you give us. Thank you for all your prayers. We really need them as we help here at the home. It is all too easy to feel overwhelmed and unappreciated as we struggle to follow what God has asked us to do. We thank God for the strength and joy that He gives us and for giving us so many friends to encourage and support us.

Now I know that it is way past Christmas, but I didn't have the chance to post any pictures before, so here goes...
